This is the form for ordering and paying for Single Photon Detectors. This process is fairly lengthy so please read the following information that details each step. Remember that an all-volunteer crew runs this process so we appreciate your patience and ask that you are timely with your registration and payments so that the process goes as quickly as possible. We know you want those single photon detectors!
1) Contact Registrants - ALPhA will send the people at the top of the waitlist an email that will contain a link to this registration page. If you made it to this registration page, then you got this email! Emails will be sent to registrants in the order they appear on the waitlist. Every 5 days we will contact more registrants until all of the single photon detectors have been accounted for.
2) Order Detectors - On this registration form you will select the number of detectors you would like to purchase (1-8), fill out your contact information, select your payment type (check, credit card, ACH transfer, wire transfer), and select your shipping amount. The website will then generate an "order confirmation" which will be emailed to you at the email address you specified. If you have any questions about your order please email the ALPhA treasurer at treasurer@advlab.org.
3) Send in your PO - Once you receive your order confirmation email, then you must send a PO to Attn: Michael Brosnan by email using mbrosnan@aapt.org or by fax using 301-209-0845. On this PO please detail how you will be paying for your detectors: credit card, check, wire transfer, or ACH electronic payment. If you are using a credit card please write your credit card information on the PO and add 2.8% interest to your payment. In addition, if there are any special instructions for how to charge your credit card, please write that on the PO as well.
4) Ship Detectors - Once we have a subset of POs, we will start to ship detectors.
5) Shipping confirmation - Once your detectors have been shipped, you will receive two emails. One will be an invoice and one will be a shipping confirmation email with your shipping information, including tracking numbers.
6) Payment - You have 30 days to pay for your detectors once they have shipped. For credit card payments, we will charge your credit card at this time according to the directions on the PO. Again, we will add 2.8% interest to credit card payments. Payment directions are:

7) Payment overdue - The ALPhA treasurer will contact you after the 30 days to move things along. Please try to pay as quickly as you can. Our ability to offer the next round of single photon detectors depends on a timely payment to the AAPT for this round of detectors. If the payment is not timely, then we might have to discontinue the program. Please do not let that happen. Be as timely as you can with your payment.
